How much care/regular cleaning do you apply to the upkeep of an item like this? are you cleaning with saddle soap/oiling twice a year? once a month? would really appreciate your advice.

Hi Mike,

I wipe all of my bags down from time to time with a little warm soapy water but for the most part I let the elements do what the elements do. Obviously, as with any leather item you want to keep it out of the rain. This bag has had Effax balm and I believe some Oakwood Leather Conditioner applied to it a few times. These are both all natural products. A quality tack shop will carry these brands.

Thanks - appreciate the response. Good to know I don't necessarily need to obsess (too) much about maintenance. I love the look of your worn-in bag and will take the same approach to upkeep.
