Found this below quote on the Chuck's Firearms web-site. It's a more formal way of saying, "If you pay peanuts expect monkey's." It rings very true and reminds me of my 20's when I went through one cheap frying pan after the other when all I needed to do was save up a bit more and buy one that I could still be using today.

Of course, we are ultimatley to blame for our purchases and to some degree, learn from our mistakes. So, one shouldn't be all that surprised or "bitter" that their alarm clock for $5.99 didn't wake them up or that their $150 suit has lost its shape after only 6 months. The same goes for the service industry.

"In this world, you get what you pay for."

Their song, "The Rat" off of their 2004 album, "Bows + Arrows" is a favorite over at BK.

The Band Akudama

Maddy, one of the cogs in the wheel over at Billykirk, was heading home from the Billykirk studio the other night and saw one of the guys from the band Akudama preforming in the subway. She liked his sound enough to spend a fiver on one of their albums. Needless to say we are into it and thought you may be too. They do a great cover of John Denver's, "County Roads, Take me Home" if you can find it.

You can catch them at the Bowery Poetry Club for $8 on 1/22 at around midnight.

Meet Willa May Bray. She decided to grace our lives on January 8, 2010. She now shares the same birth date as her 1 year old cousin Beckett and, of course, the King himself, Elvis.

The "apple of my eye" has now doubled.

Sisterly love........

Matilda & Willa getting acquainted.

Billykirk Testimonial No. 5

"I just wanted to let you know how happy I am with the #92 card case I recently ordered—much better than the rubber band I’d been using, and there is something incredibly satisfying about the way it feels and is put together. I have to say, it pleases me every time I take it out of my pocket.

I remember when I was renovating my NYC apartment a few years ago, I was lamenting the cost of a bathroom faucet that I’d been coveting. An architect friend said to me, 'scrimp on some things, but those things you touch every day should make you happy.' I bought the expensive fixtures then, and never regretted it. Although the card case was a fairly modest purchase, it thrills me no less.

I look forward to owning more Billykirk."

Billykirk Testimonial No. 4

"Thanks, the belt is great, just put it on, and I guess now I have to go out and work on the car! Also, thanks to you I'm also in great shape money wise since those dollars are no longer flying out of my wallet......using the zipper (No. 78 Zip Wallet) makes you slow down and think, do I really need another drink?
No I don't, no need to unzip this thing again!
Time to head ho
me.....
Hope you and you family have a nice holiday!"
