Billykirk Testimonial No. 7

"I received my leather card case and am very pleased with my purchase. I owe it all to my friend Josh. I recently spent a weekend in New Orleans with some longtime friends enjoying the culture. I noticed his Billykirk card case and had to have one. I attended a wedding about a week ago and one of the area managers that I work with noticed mine and ordered one as well. I am in sales and believe in the oldest form of advertising, word of mouth, as being the strongest because it relays trust and value which are two key components when making a purchasing decision. I just wanted to drop you a line and let you know your products are durable yet elegant in nature."

The man could create a nice little tune.....

The Old Log Train
Hank Williams Sr.

If you will listen a song I will sing
About my daddy who ran a log train
Way down in the southland in old Alabam
We lived in the place that they call Chatmantown.

And late in the evening when the sun was low
Way off in the distance you could hear the train blow
The folks would come runnin' and mamma would sing
Get the supper on the table here comes the log train.

Every morning at the break of day
He'd grab his lunch bucket and be on his way
Winter or summer, sunshine or rain
Every mornin' he'd run that old log train.

A sweatin' and swearin' all day long
Shoutin' "git-up there oxens, keep movin' along
Load 'er up boys 'cause it looks like rain
I've got get rollin' this old log train.

This story happened a long time ago
The log train is silent, God called daddy to go
But when I get to heaven to always remain
I'll listen for the whistle on the old log train.

1911 ~ 1990

Today, April 9th, 2010 marks 20 years since the passing of our Grandfather, "Pops." You may be gone but your memory and everything you stood for remains. Those summer vacations to visit you and Gran were some of the best memories a kid could possibly have. You were tops in our book and miss you dearly.

Always a sharp dresser

The N.T. Bray Sr. family from the 50's - Clinton, TN

It is nearly impossible for me to memorialize one of the best men to walk this earth but these photos should give you a little glimpse at what our family had the pleasure and honor of being around for quite a few years.

"Well that's good, that's real good."
A favorite saying of his when one of his grandchildren did something he liked

Garden & Gun Magazine asked us recently if we would be interested in making a custom leather 'his and her' travel bag and accessories set for their upcoming Garden & Gun Luxury Auction. Being a fan of the magazine since its inception we didn't hesitate. Click the link above and scroll down to "Lot 4" to see our collection. The set includes a waxed cotton and leather medium carryall, tote with adjustable handles, journals and passport holders. They are one of kind, multi-colored pieces that will not to duplicated. Signed and numbered.

G&G Auctions will benefit designated charities celebrating and preserving the land, habitats, and traditions that make the South so special. We chose the American College of Building Arts. This charity is very apropos for us as they train their students in traditional building techniques to promote exceptional craftsmanship.
